Thrift haul!

It was ridiculously and unseasonably hot and muggy today, so I got in my car and went to get rid of some stuff at platos and mentors closet (made almost $100!), and stopped at the Goodwill on the way home and they had a ton of stuff- Michael Kors, Zara, BB Dakota, French Connection, Paige Jeans and more!
I walked out with the stuff above for $42
Joe's Jeans 'Provocateur'
Not Your Daughters Jeans in gray
Gap skinnys
French Connection striped maxi skirt
Elfee silk top with tweed collar detail (I think this is a brand from Japan?)
H&M striped cap sleeve top
Kate Moss for top shop brand new promo tee
Marc Jacobs Las Vegas graphic tee
Diane Von Frustenburg button up safari blouse
Forever 21 floral tunic
Old Navy dress
BB Dakota dress
Odille button up top

Some of it I bought to resell on ebay, and others I bought for me (maxi, gap jeans, Elfee top, H&M top, Odille top, Old Navy dress), and I believe the items I will sell will 'pay for' the ones I bought today. I am going on a 'no clothes, no shoes' month for June- I am not buying ANY clothing or shoes! So this little spree was good to get it out of my system.

Make money off you're unwanted items!

I like to shop. It's no secret, but I typically buy everything on sale, with a coupon, or at some other discount. I also almost always resell everything when I'm sick of it. There are so many options today to get rid of your stuff that you may no longer be in love with, the possibilities are endless. Here are a few of my favorites:

I've been selling on eBay since high school (almost ten years, gross). Typically, I sell my gently used designer items on here. I've learned over time what will sell, and what isn't worth putting on. Designer handbags are always a great seller- even if they need a little TLC, but they have to be a brand that is 'well known' to get your moneys worth, don't expect the general public to know who Hammit or Be & D is, and if they aren't familiar with it, they won't bid. Designer jeans always go! (again, more familiar names True Religion, Citizens, 7, etc), and name brand dresses. Don't expect a dress from Forever 21 or Target to sell (unless of course it's a hard to find designer collaboration, thanks to the low traffic Target near me I always get them on clearance and do great with them!)

Plato's Closet, Clothes Mentor & Buffalo Exchange
These stores are great to get rid of your dresses, tops, and jeans from lesser brands- Forever 21, Old Navy, American Eagle, etc. I sell to Platos for my more 'teen' brands, and Clothes Mentor for mature styles. Since I sell to them a lot, I know what they give for specific items- dresses $5, tanks $1-$3, jeans $5 (depending on brand). Buffalo Exchange isn't near me, but I have been to  a few out west and they are the same concept. They are not consignment- they give you cash on the spot, typically 30% of what they will sell it for.

This site is great for 'trading' your designer duds for other designer items. Perfect for that Hammit bag! I have 'traded' for Longchamp bag, Louboutin wedges, and a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag. You submit an item, they value it (you get half until it sells), and then you can shop other people's closets for gently used designer items. They are picky- I can't seem to pin them, some of the items are very dated but are accepted just because of their name, but I have gotten some great things on here.

Online garage & yard sale sites and typical garage sales
I have made a few transactions on online yardsale sites in my area on facebook. You post what you have and the price you want and those interested contact you, meet and you trade cash for the item. Typical garages sales are a harder sell- don't expect to get $5 for a dress here, people are looking for .25-$1.

Keep your tags, dustbags, and product info ALWAYS. They make for an easier sell and reassure people that it is authentic.

Style craving: Polka dot blazer!

I fell in LOVE with this blazer from Anthropologie (no longer available online), the cute polka dots make it so playful and perfect to throw over a maxi for summer. Even though $168 isn't bad at all, I felt I could find a cheaper alternative (plus the fact that I couldn't find it online and the nearest Anthro is hours away).

Mango has a navy small polka dot blazer for $69.99

Target has this light weight jacket in navy for $39.99.

I found this black large polka dot blazer at Forever 21 for $24.80

eBay also has a ton of vintage polka dot jackets and blazers to choose from under $20!

Blueberry vanilla smoothie! 1 ww+ point!

I'm on a smoothie kick again. I went out and bought a bunch of fruits to try out some new ones yesterday. Here's my first creation, and its only 1 ww+ point!!!

1 fiber one vanilla 50 calorie yogurt- 0
1 cup diet blueberry pomegranate juice by Ocean Spray- 0
3/4 cup frozen blueberries- 0 (make sure the only ingredient is the fruit!)
1/2 scoop protein powder- 1 pt (I'm using the target brand right now, it's ok..I liked my Jillian Michael's flavor better).
handful of spinach leaves- 0 points

It was delicious! And so filling. A great snack that won't take up your whole day's points. I'm going to experiment with some dessert smoothies later and can't wait to try them out!

Back from Arizona and Vegas, had a great time!
Officially graduated! Yay!
Gambled a little- came out pretty dead even over the whole trip!
Dress- Rachel by Rachel Roy
Shoes-Target ($8!)
Bag- Tory Burch
Did a little walking...due to my neck injury I couldn't really hike, or run...which put a damper on things but I still got to enjoy the scenery a bit.
Did a little shopping! French Connection dress!
Adorable open bow back
Silk maxi skirt $15 from TJMaxx
BCBG Generation mint jeans
Las Vegas has everything shopping wise, I got to browse and window shop Chanel, Top Shop, Zara, Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, everything! Other than being a little too hot for my taste (mid 90s), I had a good time and excited to get back to normalcy, or the new normal as of lately, which can happen after the three loads of laundry waiting for me!

See no evil, Speak no evil, Smell no evil

Perfume is one of my big three items I tend to hoard, the second two being shoes and nail polish. There's just something about a new scent!
These are my top three:
Vanilla Grapefruit by Lavanilla
Smells like: vanilla, grapefruit, sandalwood, hint of lime
Not only does this smell absolutely amazing, but it is all natural and made with essential oils, antioxidants, immune supporting botanicals, and natural vitamins.
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
Smells like: jasmine, bergamot, orange, musk
Simply a classic. I will always have a bottle of this around.
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf
Smells like: sambac jasmine, orchid, freesia, rose, tea, bergamot, patchouli
This is such a fun and invigorating scent. So different from what I have, and what's odd is that I can't stand real flowers, but this scent is amazing

What's your favorite perfume to wear? I'm always looking to try something new.

Packing for Vegas and Phoenix!

I can't believe it's already here! I leave tomorrow for my graduation. I feel like I just started the master's program at ASU yesterday.  We are flying into Vegas, spending a few days there and then driving down to Phoenix for the big day!
I had to take my big 'body' suit case this time, there was no getting around it for this trip. I tried to stay organized, and took some shots while packing, I struggled finding ways to mix and match things to pair down my luggage, but I tried to 'recycle' as much as I could.
