Outfit of the week

Sweater: Jcrew ($5 Platos!)
Necklace: Macy's (Target has an almost identical one on clearance for $8 right now)
Shirt: H&M (currently in stores, $14)
Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: Seychelle's (seen here
Watch: Kohl's (seen here)
Bracelet: Target

My hair is ridiculously broken lately. I feel like it happened overnight.
Thank god my next trim is soon, although the full head of highlights won't help.
I have been slowly but surely going darker, closer to my natural color to hopefully lessen the breakage.
PLUS! my keratin complex flat iron died...devastated!
Maybe my next fast should be one omitting heat to my hair.

DIY Wine bottle lights

Inspired by this post on pinterest, I whipped up some of my own wine bottle lights using xmas lights, gems, and twine.
I really like the way they came out, I plan to make more to adorn the tops of our cabinets.
The clear bottle is much brighter. But I love the green one as well.
They also look nice not lit up
I used a hot glue gun to glue the gems and twine on.
A dremmel to drill the hole for the lights (I used battery powered because of the lack of outlets where I wanted to put them).
Pretty happy with the outcome :) and it only took an hour!

May Birchbox

This month's Birchbox was the 'Gossip Girl' edition. I watched the first season, but haven't seen it lately...it kind of soured for me
But! I did really enjoy this month's samples!
It contained:

Kérastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide: I love this, and plan to buy it. I have highlighted and straightened since 11, this is great for damaged hair. I have tried their products before and was certainly not let down. I got two good uses out of the tiny sample they provided.

Kiehl's Abyssine Cream +: Again, love. I have had a few of their products as well, and this delux size sample gets used every night. Doesn’t leave a greasy feeling what so ever.
Stila sparkle waterproof liquid eye liner: Yet again, I am familiar with this brand (I’m not complaining, the last box didn’t thrill me too much, so it was a pleasant surprise to see familiar faces). The sparkles irritated my eyes, but it does look great on. Seems to be a full size. I will definitely wear it again for a night out or something of the sorts.
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream: This didn’t thrill me, maybe because I really don’t use anything like this on a regular basis. This went to the giveaway pile.
BVLGARI Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette Spray: Just not my scent, but pretty.
Hopefully this month’s will bring more joy!

Skinny Sangria! 2 WW+ points

Skinny Sangria

A few weeks ago I made a Skinny Sangria, loosely based on this recipe. It was delicious! I'm not a wine person, but the 2 points on WW+ was too good to pass up.

What I used:

1 bottle of red wine- I used organic. This is the only ingredient with any point value. According to the WW book, 4oz is 3 points. I assumed per 8oz glass there would be less than that per glass, and other 'skinny sangrias' are 2 ww points.
1/2 liter of club soda- 0 points
1/2 liter of diet lime soda- 0 points
frozen fruits- 0 points (make sure there is no other additives in the fruit, the fruit should be the only ingredient, or else it isn't 0 points)
1/2 packet of Crystal Light honey mango mix

Very refreshing, and won't ruin your week!
